How it works

Amateur allocations are assigned by ITU regions and enforced nationally. This reference uses the IARU Region 2 / FCC Part 97 conventions for the United States. Always confirm with your national regulator; sub-band edges, digital allocations, and license class privileges vary.

Frequently asked questions

Are these edges valid worldwide?

No. This is a US/Region 2 reference. Region 1 (EMEA) and Region 3 (APAC) differ, especially on 40 m, 60 m, and 160 m.

What about 60 m channels?

The 5 MHz allocation in the US is channelized. Consult your regulator for exact channel plans.
